GESS offers personal protection to clients and/or personnel working in harsh, remote and/or hostile environments. In requirements of this nature we establish a base in-country and create a safety village for clients and personnel. We also provide armored vehicles, firearms, security uniforms and equipment as well as general equipment for clients working in these environments.

GESS can ensure the protection and evacuation of its clients’ employees, upstream of their project or in event of major risk.

The mechanism and operational solutions offered by GESS ensure that companies are in compliance with all of their legal obligations regarding employee safety.

GESS possesses the knowledge, expertise and technology to protect the integrity of sensitive information and technology both from within and outside of the company.

GESS unique expertise in protecting technology and information was formerly dedicated to French government bodies only. It is now also available for private business, as part of a relocation and export processes.

GESS therefore provides the same security services to businesses and to the African and European space sector. GESS experts also ensure continuous security and traceability for flows of sensitive materials.

GESS sets up a tailor made service for personnel who would like to have VIP escorts and close protection services during their business or leisure trips, anywhere in the world.

The protection division is managed by close protection specialists that have decades of experience on the national and international fronts. The Director as well as the Operational Manager of the division have spent several years in the government protection structures and since leaving government have developed to become well-respected protection specialist and security consultants within the private sector.

We have a team of formally trained and compliant Close Protection Officers that we are able to deploy both nationally and internationally. Our protectors are able to blend in with our clients and are equally comfortable in a boardroom situation as well as in a hostile situation. Both the company and protectors are acutely aware of the need for confidentiality and we respect and abide by this.

We also provide monthly training to our CPO’s and conduct quarterly assessments on them to ensure that they maintain prescribed and international standards. We also conduct initial and random polygraph tests on all CPO’s that are deployed, this to ensure that client confidentiality is always maintained and protected.

We understand that protection is far more than carrying a gun and being able to fight and believe that with proper planning and execution of an assignment there should be little need to call on the hard skills of protection.

Our primary focus in the protection of clients is to ensure that we provide the comfort, peace of mind and confidence to the client to enable him to go about his business in a normal manner.

We provide specially trained drivers that are competent in advance driving, offensive and defensive driving, security awareness and hijack avoidance. The drivers are also trained in protocol and etiquette and are well presented and professional individuals.

The residential security officers that we provide are trained by ourselves and are trained beyond the level of ordinary security officers. These officers are deployed at the residences of high profile people and executives. They are also trained to understand the operations of close protection officers and teams so that they are able to integrate and work together.

We have the experience and knowledge of planning and executing security around major events such as international conferences, major sports activities, awards functions and similar public gatherings. We also enjoy a close working relationship with numerous authorities managing major events with whom we work with on a regular basis.

Our venue security officers are individuals who are specially trained for operations within the corporate environment. These men and women are able to seamlessly blend into a corporate environment and possess the necessary protocol and etiquette to interact at this level, whilst maintaining the ability to execute their primary responsibility of maintaining peace and order during events.

We have specially trained personnel who undertake high risk and high value asset protection projects. These projects include assets such as:-

Our team of security, medical and emergency personnel is also able to conduct risk assessments on your events and compile a disaster management plan which is a legal requirement for the hosting of public events.

Our VIP / Executive protection services are based on the following procedures:

Contingency Planning in the event of any incidents, what needs to be done and by whom
Use of predetermined routes, alternative routes, means, measures, man power, etc
Reconnaissance takes place before actual operation commences to determine safe routes and zones
Action Report after every deployment a synopsis of events as they occurred is recorded including decisions made and or actions taken.
